A Magical Night: The EP release show
A year ago, I couldn’t have ever imagined such a night. A sold out show. A beautiful venue. Musician friends joining me on stage. Having a support act. Having a support system. And to think it almost didn’t happen.
Last week, on Thursday 26 June, my EP release concert took place in a cosy little venue in Berlin-Mitte called „Mulackei“. I had been there just once before, hidden away at the back of a little courtyard. I had gone there to see another concert in Spring and immediately fell in love with the location and I knew I wanted to have the show there. So I sent them an e-mail and then set the ball rolling.
After about a month of preparations and intense promo, I had a set list, guest performers (Mia Ramer and Andreas Juhani), a support act (Daisy Confused) and even merchandise and a completely sold out show. And then, two days before the show, I had to go to the ER…
Luckily everything went well, even though I would have preferred spending the two days rehearsing and preparing instead of being in the hospital. But as I kept saying „the show must go on!“. And it did.
The night in question, the Mulackei was filled with people that came despite rain, storm and thunder and who listened to our live music and created a beautiful atmosphere. Despite it being circa a million degrees outside and inside.
Thank you to all who came and all who helped!
